Rosentreter-Rice-Quinn Family History Pages

August Rosentreter was born in Prussia, in 1843. He was married to Theresa Borlich, who was born in 1846. Together, the Rosentreter's had ten children (that I know about!). According to the 1880 Census Records, the Rosentreter Family was as follows:

• August, father, age 35 (this was incorrect, August was born in 1843)
• Theresa, mother, age 30 (this was also incorrect, Theresa was born in 1846)
• Anna, age 14, born in Prussia
• Antonia, age 11, born in Prussia
• Mary, age 9, born in Illinois
• Frances, age 7, born in Illinois
• Catherine, age 6, born in Illinois
• Elizabeth, age 2, born in Illinois
• Theresa, age 1, born in Illinois

According to the 1920 Census record, only August Rosentreter was listed; he was shown as a retired quarry worker. Theresa, his wife, died in 1908. August died in 1928. You may view the family headstone, in St. Alphonsus Cemetary by clicking on the link to your left.
